Rig count falls by nine

According to Oil & Gas 360, U.S. land rig counts fell by 2 percent in the last week to 431. Data published April 22 shows that there are nine fewer rigs than the April 15 count. Eight of the nine rigs laid down were oil rigs.

The source reports that three of the nine rigs were horizontal, three were vertical and three were directional.

Data from Baker Hughes’ Interactive US Rig Count on April 25 showed that during this last year, there were 501 more rigs operating.
