The U.S. oil and gas rigs count added 24 rigs to total 604 for the week ending June 23, according to data from Enverus.
The Permian Basin in western Texas and southeastern New Mexico saw the biggest gains, adding 11 rigs to total 259.
The Haynesville Shale gained two rigs to total 55, and the SCOOP-STACK (28 rigs) play, the DJ Basin (14 rigs) and the Utica Shale (13 rigs) were all up by one rig apiece.
The Marcellus Shale lost a rig, bring its total to 32.
