The U.S. rig count climbed to 755 during the week ended April 28, gaining two natural gas rigs, according to data provided by Baker Hughes.
The U.S. natural gas rig count increased to 161 rigs during the time period, while the domestic oil drilling count remained unchanged despite a mix of regional activity.
Last year, the rig count rested at 698 during the same time period.
