Last month the $86 million Risberg Line project received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, according to the Star Beacon.
The project is a 28-mile natural gas pipeline addition to an existing 32-mile pipeline in Pennsylvania. The addition will go from Meadville, Pennsylvania up through northwest Ashtabula County. About 16 miles of pipeline will be added in Pennsylvania and 12 miles will be added in Ohio.
The project is expected to increase job opportunities and tax revenue for the surrounding areas.
