Low commodity prices and the supply glut haven’t helped oil and gas companies.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette PowerSource reports that about half of U.S. oil and gas companies have a D- rating according to Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services, which means that they are in default.
Several Marcellus shale producers, including Range Resources Corp. and Southwestern Energy Corp. were given negative outlooks by the Standard & Poor report. Others, like EQT Corp. and Rice Energy, were given stable outlooks.
