Pennsylvania natural gas producer Seneca Resources Co. has entered into an agreement with Project Canary to earn independent responsibly sourced gas certification for 300 million cubic feet per day of its natural gas production in the Appalachian Basin, according to Pennsylvania Business Report.
The certification process will cover nearly one-third of Seneca’s natural gas production, focusing on air, land, water and community impacts and analyzing more than 600 unique operational-and-environmental-, social- and governance-related data points.
Seneca plans to install continuous monitoring devices at three well-pad locations to provide real-time, site-level emissions data.
