After a lot of consideration, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection approved the pending permit applications for the Shell Pipeline Company Falcon ethane pipeline project, according to the Farm and Dairy.
The DEP concluded that the applications meet the water obstruction and encroachment requirements of Chapter 105 and the erosion and sediment control requirements of Chapter 102 of its regulations. The pipeline will run through Washington, Allegheny and Beaver counties.
Engineers and biologists at the DEP conducted a technical review of the applications in consultation with three county conservation districts to ensure the applications meet all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
