In Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties in Pennsylvania, Sunoco Logistics accidentally spilled drilling fluid last year.
Pittsburgh Business Times reports that the company has agreed to pay $95,000 to settle a civil complaint that stemmed from the spills. The spills occurred when the Mariner East Pipeline was being constructed. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection states that at least 1,000 gallons of fluid was spilled in six instances.
