Canadian pipeline company TransCanada Corp. plans on changing its name to TC Energy to reflect its recent growth into new markets, according to the Washington Post.
If shareholders and regulators approve the name change, TransCanada becomes TC Energy in the second quarter. However, the stock ticker “TRP” will not change.
In recent years, TransCanada has expanded operations in U.S. and Mexico markets.
