A study conducted by the University of Cincinnati Department of Geology is being questioned by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and elected officials because the study’s findings aren’t being made public.

The study focused on fracking’s effects on groundwater contamination in the Utica shale and found that there was no indication that fracking contaminated groundwater. The study analyzed Carroll County wells over the course of three years.

Energy In Depth reports that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is asking the University of Cincinnati to release its full findings. According to the source, taxpayers helped to fund the study.
