US LNG terminal set for first export in January

The first terminal in the lower 48 states to export U.S. shale natural gas is close to its first export, which will take place this month, according to Bloomberg. The U.S. could become one of the world’s largest suppliers of liquefied natural gas, with other LNG terminals being planned.
Cheniere Energy Inc. is receiving about 50 million cubic feet of natural gas each day at the Sabine Pass terminal in Louisiana.
According to a Bloomberg New Energy Finance analysis, the U.S. could be capable of exporting 7.76 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day by 2019.
