The Utica Shale Academy has received two $200,000 Equity grants to help fund the school’s new welding lab, according to The Review.
Last week the board of the Utica Shale Academy accepted a $200,000 Equity grant, which will be combined with another $200,000 Equity grant via the academy’s partner, Southern Local Schools. The grant money will be used to purchase equipment for the school’s new welding lab.
The welding lab will give students the opportunity to learn hands on welding skills and gain career path credentials through Lincoln Electric Welding.
