The only Utica Shale well in Wayne County, Ohio, is going to be sold, according to Akron Beacon Journal.
Located near Apple Creek, the Devon Energy Co. well recorded little production, and was never in full production according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The well, along with a Guernsey County well owned by Devon Energy, is now listed as temporarily inactive.
A Devon Energy spokeswoman said that the company believes that both of these wells have future production value, but did not specify why the company wants to sell them.
