WhiteHawk Energy expands natural gas portfolio by acquiring Haynesville assets

White Hawk Energy, LLC announced an agreement earlier this month to acquire up to $105 million of natural gas and royalty assets primarily located in northwestern Louisiana in the Haynesville Shale, according to Yahoo.

WhiteHawk’s acquisition includes production from over 1,230 horizontal wells, 157 line of site wells and 44 permitted wells. The assets are operated by the top operators in the Haynesville Shale, including Southwestern Energy, Chesapeake Energy, Author Energy Management and Comstock Resources.

The acquisition will expand WhiteHawk’s natural gas portfolio to over 850,000 gross unit acres and over 2,300 producing horizontal shale wells in the core of the Marcellus and Haynesville shale fields.
