West Virginia University Safety and Health Extension and its partner, Pierpont Technical and Community College, will provide OSHA Education Center courses to students interested in the oil and gas industry through a host organization relationship, according to Farm and Dairy.
Students will be able to complete a series of courses related to the oil and gas industry to earn safety specialist certification and receive OSHA certificates and industry-specific certifications for a comprehensive approach to safety and health in the oil and gas industry.
Instructors believe students will have a leg up on the competition when applying for jobs because of the safety and health focus.
