Zane State gets funds for oil and gas program facility

Zane State College will receive more than $280,000 from the state of Ohio for a program that prepares students for jobs in the oil and natural gas industry, according to the Zanesville Times Recorder.

The funds will be put towards the construction of a stand-alone building to be used for work-force training at Zane State’s campus in Cambridge, Ohio. it will operate in conjunction with the Willet Pratt Training Center’s industrial systems engineering technology program.

The push to build the facility was a direct result of demands from local employers seeking to hire qualified workers to fill higher-paying jobs.
