The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has issued a permit to Kleese Development Associates, Inc. to develop an injection well in Trumbull County, The Business Journal reports.
The company has two Class II injection wells in Trumbull County. American Energy Inc. has two injection wells in Trumbull County as well.
An injection well is used to dispose of wastewater created by fracking. Recently, some drilling companies have opted to cut back on drilling due to the drop in oil prices. Since 2011, development of injection wells in Mahoning County has been halted due to earthquakes associated with the wells.
