There’s a legal battle going on in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, where a family wants to preserve trees on its land that are in the path of the Constitution Pipeline.

The Patriot-News reports that Williams Partners, the builder of the Constitution Pipeline, want to cut down maples trees on five acres of Holleran family property in New Milford through eminent domain. The family produces maple syrup and other items from those trees for its business.

From Williams Partners’ perspective, property owners in the region should take advantage of the natural gas, according to the newspaper. The Constitution Pipeline will carry Marcellus shale natural gas to New York and New England states.
