Another natural gas-powered electric plant is being planned for Ohio, this time in Wellsville.

The Business Journal reports that this $1.1 billion project, built by Advanced Power Services’ South Field Energy LLC, will be the sixth plant like it in Ohio. The plant will generate 1,100 megawatts that will power over one million homes.

South Field Energy’s other Ohio plant is being built in Carroll County. Additional natural gas-powered electric plants are being built in Oregon, Middletown, Lordstown and Wilkesville.
