Ohio state representative Tim Ginter has expressed his support for the Nexus Gas Transmission pipeline, according to WFMJ.

The Nexus Gas Transmission pipeline would cross through Hanover, West and Knox Townships in Columbiana County, which Ginter represents. Ginter believes that the pipeline project will benefit Columbiana County by creating jobs and generating revenue.

The pipeline’s proposed path stretches from Kensington through Ohio, then into Michigan and Ontario, Canada. Landowners have expressed their concern about public safety since the pipeline is projected to cross through densely populated areas such as Canton, Akron, Medina and Toledo.
