While no final decision has been made about Royal Dutch Shell’s proposed ethane cracker plant in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh Business Times reports that the project is not yet one of the cuts the company plans to make after reporting a significant drop in profits.
The newspaper reports that the company will delay or defer Pennsylvania chemicals projects.
If approved, the cracker plant will be located at the former Horsehead Holding Corp. property in Potter Township.
