The proposed ethane cracker project in Monaca, Pennsylvania, is one of Royal Dutch Shell’s key investment projects, according to a company executive, The Business Journal reports.
The project would give Shell a diverse portfolio. The project is estimated to cost between $2 billion and $4 billion.
Low commodity prices have stalled Shell’s decision on the ethane cracker project, but the company should be able to make a decision within a year.
