On Tuesday, Royal Dutch Shell gave the official word on its multi-billion dollar ethane cracker planned for Beaver County, Pennsylvania. After the announcement, industry leaders from across the Utica and Marcellus shale region voiced approval of the decision, according to Observer-Reporter.

Construction work was done on the site before the official announcement, but the source reports that production won’t begin for a few more years.
